A Walkers Paradise
The La Safor area, where the house is located, is a walkers paradise. You can choose between hillwalking, riverbank walks, wildlife walks, monastery walks, city tours, beach walks or exploring cave art. Walking is very popular in Spain for locals and tourists alike and we are very lucky in this region to have many of the mountains and woodlands designated as National Parks.
Choose from long leisurely strolls along river banks and gorges, to more strenuous grade A mountain challenges. Walk alone or choose us as your guide. Either way we can advise which are the best walks, how to get there and organise transport from the start point to the end.
Take a walking tour of Gandia. Stroll along the tree lined paseo that takes you right through a vibrant city bursting with culture. Roam the streets in the centre, while you enjoy the emblematic buildings such as the Gothic style Colegiata, the Town Hall, or the building of the Escuelas Pías, the headquarters of the first Jesuit university in the world. With a totally pedestrian historical centre that contains one of Valencia's heritage gems: the Ducal Palace of the Borjas, one of the most controversial families in history that gave the Catholic Church two popes: Calixto III and Alejandro VI. Wander through narrow cobbled streets to discover pretty sun trapped plazas where you can relax with a coffee and watch the world go by.

The house is only is only a short drive away from numerous exciting and well-marked walks, from 2 hours to a full day. We can provide packed lunches to bring with you on these excursions so that you definitely won't get hungry!
