For a good mix of Cycling, Walking, Trekking, Sightseeing, Culture and Relaxation choose one of our Mixed Activity
weeks.
A typical example of an activity week is;
Arrival day
"Find your bearings." A guided 1-2 hours walk through the orange groves and a visit to the local village or opt
for a 1-2 hour cycle through the quiet caminos in the area.
Day 2
We have a 50km bike ride that takes us to lunch in a beautiful historic inland town. Relax, enjoy the local cuisine,
then spend a couple of hours exploring before being transported back over the mountains. For those feeling energetic we
will cycle another 40km crossing the same mountains. The gradient is never too steep and your efforts will be rewarded
with long safe descents as we return.
Day 3
River Walk. We travel about 15 km where we begin our walk which takes us along the banks of the Serpis river. The
path gently rises and falls as it passes through the old railway tunnels.Enjoy breathtaking scenery on either side as sheer
rock faces and cliffs reach skyward. Catch a glimpse of the trout below the many waterfalls or you may be lucky enough to
spot some wild boar. This walk can take from 4 to 8 hours with lots of options to shorten it if desired.
Day 4
Today we visit a wine growing region .The round trip cycle ride distance is about 80km with lots of opportunities to
add on a few miles to visit places of interest. The ride is mostly, nice smooth rolling roads with some nice challenging
climbs. We visit a Bodega and get a chance to sample some of the locally produced wines. You can opt to cycle or be
transported for the return journey which will take us back along the coast.
Don`t forget your swimsuit.
Day 5
Take the Train!!. We visit the city of Valencia . The 1 ½ hour train ride takes you to the heart of the historical city.
Marvel at the architecture, visit the City of Arts and Sciences, stroll through the park that goes right around the city (it is
built on what was once the Turia river) , visit the Zoo, do some shopping.
Day 6
Today we can opt for a cycle in the mountains or a cycle through the rice fields.
Either route is stunning with a few suprises along the way. Distances can be varied as required.
