Rafelcofer 250 meters from the house, is a typical Spanish town with a maze of narrow streets. You will notice the beautiful wooden doorways and the balconies overhead almost meeting their neighbours across the street. It has several bars, cafes and small restaurants.

Gandia
  within 5 mins drive of the house is a large, vibrant town steeped in history and character.
It is very accessible from all directions and easy to get around.Take a walking tour and discover the delights of this city. If shopping is your thing then Gandia will not disappoint. A visit to the blue flag Gandia beach and the Port is recommended . For night owls Gandia is full of life. Savour the restaurants, bars, nightclubs and casino. Many are open to 6 am.




Oliva also within 5 minutes drive from the house due south has a population of 21,000 people but has a small town feel. The old town is a labyrinth of narrow streets lined with white washed Spanish houses. A walk through town takes you to monuments, gardens, fountains and to the beautiful blue domed churches of St. Roc and Sta Ana. Visit the weekly market on friday morning  and stock up on the best local produce. There is a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes whether in the main town or down at Oliva beach.

Denia is 25 minutes drive south from the house.It has a busy Port and from here you can take a ferry to Ibiza. It's a large lively town with lots of shops , bars and restaurants and is worth a visit especially at night when the harbour lights up.

Valencia about 50 minutes to the north has all the attractions of a capital city. Recent host to the Americas cup


Benidorm about 40 minutes to the south. This hugely popular holiday resort has everything to entertain.
 
Pedreguer
20 mins south holds a huge Rastro "outside market" every Sunday. All manner or goods are sold here from antiques to the very modern.

Viva Espana
5 minutes drive from the house is a fine restaraunt and each Saturday night and Sunday afternoon they put on one of the best Flamenco shows in all of Spain. A must see at least once.

Beaches
are 10 minutes drive. Your choice. Fantastic safe Blue Flag beaches that run forever along the coast. You can swim all year round.
